How to Compete:

Students in Grades 6-12

Want to Participate in SERSEF?

  • Students in grades 6-12 can participate individually or as a team in SERSEF as part of their school's science fair program or can participate separate from their school if their school does not have a science fair program.

  • Students must be from one of the following counties in North Dakota: Barnes, Cass, Dickey, Eddy, Foster, Griggs, Kidder, LaMoure, Logan, McIntosh, Ransom, Richland, Sargent, Steele, Stutsman, and Wells Counties

Step One: Fill Out Your Required Forms

  • All SERSEF presenters must fill out their required Regeneron ISEF Forms before completing their research

  • Presenters must also make sure that their research adheres to the Regeneron ISEF 2023 Rules

Step Two: Complete STEM Research

  • Students wanting to present at SERSEF must complete a STEM Research Project!

  • Research Projects allow you to explore STEM concepts by testing your own hypothesis or creating your own experimental design!

Step Three: Create a Display and Prepare to Present

  • A SERSEF Display presents your research to others, and displays can come in different shapes and sizes

  • Prepare to present your research to the SERSEF judging team

Step Four: Present at SERSEF

  • Students who would like to present at SERSEF must register to attend SERSEF
